Yes. All packages have assembly instructions included within the shipping container at no extra cost
The tools required vary by product, however, several combination wrenches, mallet, screwdrivers, cordless drills, and a step ladder are typically required. Larger shelters require additional equipment.
Smaller shelters can be erected with (2) physically capable adults. Larger products may require up to 3-4 capable adults.
Smaller buildings (10' wide or less) can be erected in 2 - 6 hours. Medium sized products may require 1 - 2 full days. Larger products may require 2 - 4 days.
Auger anchors are used for Blizzard model garages. Duck-bill cable anchors are used for Single Car, RV and Two car garages.
Yes. The covers and panels have UV protection agents to resist fading and damage from sunlight.
Yes all frames are galvanized steel.
We supply ground anchors for a standard installation on a gravel pad. This packaged can be substituted for cement anchors. Customers make their own wood base will need to supply their own mounting hardware.
Although these products perform well under snow and wind meant for Canadian winter conditions they do not come with engineered certifications. We make no warranty statements or guarantees against snow or wind loads.
An engineer’s stamp for wind/snow loads only come with our larger trussed frame buildings. See fabric building page.
The majority of the time, building permits for portable garages are not needed due to the "temporary nature" of these structures. However, we recommend consulting with local authorities prior to purchase.
For anything on the Fabric Building page a permit is normally required.
Blizzard Portable Garage model : 6 – 7 years. Please note, the cover for Blizzard model is Canadian made.
All Canadian made Portable Garage: 12- 15 years.

Cover-Tech Inc. offers a variety of products, many of them custom so lead times vary depending on the product. Typically the delivery time is 2 -3 weeks.

Cover-Tech Inc. ships to Canada and the US on a daily basis. Shipping to any other country is an option but as we are based in Canada it could be more costly.

All fees for duty/brokerage are contained in the shipping quote, Cover-Tech Inc. arranges the shipping and clearance of the product into the US. For smaller packages that can ship with the standard postal service only the address and phone number of the customer is required. For larger Fed-Ex and transport shipments personal information/identification may be required such as social security numbers or federal tax ID for custom clearance purposes.
Shipping fees depend on the product and location. Please fill out a contact form from out site with the address and product of interest and our sales staff will reply promptly with an exact shipping cost.
For portable garages, awnings, gazebos and large tarp orders these are shipped via full scale transport trucks. For smaller tarps orders these are shipped via Post or Fedex. Customers must be present to take delivery.
After the order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. When the order is shipped you will receive an email with your tracking number and link online to track the shipment. If you have questions at any time on an order please either email us at admin@cover-tech.com or call us at 1-888-325-5757.
It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure they are present to sign for the delivery or have someone to sign on their behalf. We do provide tracking information that provides updates on delivery times.
For custom clearance purposes, personal information such as your Social Security Number may be required at the time of delivery by the shipping company. According to transport carriers/customs "Because the commodity of the item is fabric we must make a formal declaration to U.S customs. This formal declaration requires that the importer pay U.S customs duties and taxes. Cover-Tech Inc. takes the cost of these custom fees at the time of purchase and processes the custom fees via our account with the carrier. The reason the carrier requires the Social Security Number is because the customs entry is done using the U.S importer's name and information. The Social Security Number would provide U.S customs with the evidence that the importer is a legal resident of the U.S and is permitted to import goods. Every entry done for a U.S importer is driven by their unique IRS or Social Security Number."
